FLOORING

Alpha hire offer a number of options for flooring of your Marquee.  All of which help too create the right theme for your event.

MATTING

Co-co matting on damp proof membrane is suitable for grass sites when ground is even and firm.
In soft ground conditions we would recommend a plywood sheet sub floor, with matting laid on top.

CARPET

Carpet is not strong enough to be laid on a damp proof membrane.

For grass sites when ground is even and firm co-co matting with damp proof membrane would provide a suitable sub floor for a carpet floor covering.

For grass sites where the ground is even but soft we would suggest plywood sheet sub flooring.

Uneven or very soft ground would require an interlocking boarded floor.

TARMAC, CONCRETE ETC

The sub floor requirement would be dependant on the drainage properties of the site.

Good drainage and a smooth flat surface could support carpet  without a sub floor.

Uneven sites with good drainage could be suitable for plywood sheets with carpet overlaid.

Sites where potential for standing water or uneven ground would require an interlocking boarded floor with carpet overlaid.
